GENERAL WARNINGS

READ BEFORE INSTALLATION AND USE

Failure to follow these warnings and instructions may result in loss of throttle control, property damage, serious injury, or death.

BEFORE EVERY USE

VERIFY FITMENT — Confirm the throttle is properly installed, securely fastened, and compatible with your specific motor, boat, and control system.

CHECK OPERATION — Before operating the boat, verify proper throttle operation through the FULL range of movement and confirm the motor responds correctly.

INSPECT THE PRODUCT — Check for cracks, damage, deformation, loose hardware, or excessive wear. Do not use if damaged or improperly installed.

MAINTAIN CONTROL — The operator must maintain full control of the motor and boat at all times.

OPERATION

Do not operate the product if proper throttle control cannot be maintained.

Do not modify, alter, drill, cut, heat, or otherwise change the product from its supplied configuration.

Immediately discontinue use if the product becomes damaged, loose, or operates abnormally.

CHEMICAL WARNING

DO NOT expose polymer components to chemicals, solvents, adhesives, or other substances that may damage or degrade the product.

DO NOT use acetone, solvent-based cleaners, threadlockers, or other unapproved chemical products on or around polymer components.

Only use cleaning, maintenance, installation, and bonding products specifically approved by the manufacturer.

weather-resistant engineering polymer-SPECIFIC CHEMICAL COMPATIBILITY

The polymer components used in this product are weather-resistant engineering polymer. This polymer has good outdoor/weather resistance, but it is not resistant to all chemicals. Chemical exposure can cause surface attack, softening, swelling, crazing/stress cracking, deformation, loss of impact strength, or loss of mechanical performance. Chemical resistance varies with the exact weather-resistant engineering polymer grade, concentration, temperature, exposure time, and mechanical stress on the component.

Unless specifically tested and approved for this product, DO NOT use or allow prolonged contact with:

Ketones — acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK / 2-butanone), methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), and other ketone-based solvents.

Esters — ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, amyl acetate, and other ester-based solvents or solvent blends.

Aromatic hydrocarbons — benzene, toluene, xylene (o-, m-, or p-xylene), and similar aromatic solvents.

Chlorinated or halogenated solvents — methylene chloride/dichloromethane (DCM), chloroform, trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene, 1,2-dichloroethane, and similar solvents.

Ethers and aggressive ether solvents — tetrahydrofuran (THF), diethyl ether, and similar products.

Polar aprotic solvents — dimethylformamide (DMF), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), and similar aggressive solvents.

Strong oxidizing chemicals and concentrated acids — including concentrated nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, chromic-acid-containing cleaners, and similar aggressive formulations.

Solvent-based paints, thinners, reducers, strippers, adhesive removers, and degreasers containing any of the incompatible solvents above.

Adhesives, primers, sealants, threadlockers, or bonding agents containing solvents known to attack weather-resistant engineering polymer.

USE CAUTION WITH OTHER CHEMICALS

Alcohols — high-concentration ethanol and isopropyl alcohol (IPA), particularly with prolonged or repeated exposure, can reduce mechanical properties in some weather-resistant engineering polymer formulations. Do not soak or repeatedly saturate weather-resistant engineering polymer with alcohol unless compatibility has been verified.

Gasoline, diesel fuel, oils, greases, and lubricants — many weather-resistant engineering polymer grades have good resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, and greases, but fuel additives and commercial formulations vary. Wipe spills off promptly and verify compatibility for prolonged exposure.

Strong alkaline or caustic cleaners — some weather-resistant engineering polymer grades tolerate weak alkalis, but concentrated/high-pH cleaners may cause damage. Use only approved products.

Marine, automotive, plastic, and degreasing cleaners — product labeling alone does not establish compatibility. Review the SDS/ingredients or obtain manufacturer approval before use.

Unknown chemicals or chemical mixtures — if the composition or compatibility is unknown, do not use the product on or around the polymer.

RECOMMENDED CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Use clean water and a mild soap or mild detergent solution for routine cleaning.

Use a soft cloth or other non-abrasive material.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry after cleaning.

Do not use abrasive pads, aggressive solvent cleaners, or chemical treatments unless specifically approved.

If a cleaner, lubricant, adhesive, threadlocker, sealant, or other chemical product is required during installation or maintenance, verify compatibility with the exact polymer before use.

CRUISE CONTROL — OPEN WATER ONLY

CRUISE CONTROL IS FOR USE ONLY IN OPEN, CLEAR, DEEP WATER WHERE IMMEDIATE THROTTLE ADJUSTMENT IS NOT REQUIRED.

DO NOT use cruise control in turns, around trees, stumps, obstructions, shallow water, creeks, narrow waterways, or other conditions requiring frequent or immediate throttle adjustment.

The operator is responsible for maintaining control of the boat and motor and for disengaging cruise control when conditions require immediate throttle control.

GENERAL CARE & MAINTENANCE

Wash the product with automotive car soap and clean water. Avoid harsh solvents, abrasive cleaners, or unapproved chemical products.

After saltwater use, rinse the product thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt and other corrosive residues. Allow the product to dry before storage.

Store the product indoors when available. Avoid unnecessary prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, extreme heat, moisture, and harsh environmental conditions.

Before use, ensure all accessible/open fasteners and screws are snug and secure. Do not over-tighten screws or fasteners. Excessive tightening can place unnecessary stress on the polymer and may cause cracking or damage.

Do not attempt to tighten or remove the handle pivot screw that is covered/sealed with epoxy. This fastener is not intended for routine adjustment.

If a screw or fastener repeatedly loosens, do not compensate by overtightening it. Discontinue use and inspect the product for damage or contact the manufacturer for guidance.

RECOMMENDED

Keep a spare throttle or replacement components available when practical.
